Questions, answered

The stuff people ask before signing up, and the stuff people ask after their first mosaic. Can't find your question? support@qrdynamic.xyz.

Getting started

What is QrdyCraft?
QrdyCraft is a printable craft tool for families. Type a keyword or upload a photo → we turn it into a paint-by-number sticker kit your kid sticks together at home. Read the full walkthrough on how to use QrdyCraft.
Do I need a special account?
You sign in with your QrdyAI account — the same one that works across the other Qrdy tools (Dynamic QR, the QRdy Canva apps, etc.). If you don't have one yet, the sign-in flow creates one in two clicks.
What ages is it for?
Ages 4–12. Match difficulty to age: Easy (30–50 stickers, 4–6 y/o), Medium (60–100, 7–9 y/o), Hard (120–200, 10–12 y/o). The grown-up is the operator — kids do the sticking. QrdyCraft is not built as a kids' app — parents generate; children play with the printed result.
Is the first mosaic free?
Yes. The Free plan includes 3 AI generations + 1 photo upload per month, with watermarked PDFs. No card needed to start.

Printing & cutting

Do I need a special printer at home?
No. Your home A4 printer handles the numbered grid + color legend + sticker reference pages. For the actual stickers, you take stickers-print-and-cut.pdf to any decal shop with a Roland or Mimaki print-and-cut machine — they print and kiss-cut the stickers in one pass.
Where do I find a print-and-cut shop?
Search Google Maps for "decal printing", "sticker print and cut", or "sign making" in your city. Almost every sign-maker has the machine. Typical turnaround is 5–15 minutes; typical price is $1–3 per A4 sheet on transparent PVC.
What do I ask the shop for?
Say: “A4, transparent PVC decal, print and kiss-cut on the CutContour spot color. One sheet.” That's all they need. Our file already carries the standard CutContour spot color (Roland convention since 2000) — the shop's RIP software automatically finds the cut path.
Why two PDFs in the ZIP?
mosaic-preview.pdf (5 pages) is for you and your kid at home — cover, finished art, numbered grid, sticker sheet, color legend. Print it on a regular A4 printer. stickers-print-and-cut.pdf (1 page) is the production file for the print shop — has the CutContour spot color, 1 mm bleed, ready for kiss-cut. Do not print this one at home — it has invisible markup the shop needs.
Can I print on regular sticker paper instead of PVC?
Yes, but it's a compromise. Sticker paper is cheaper but tears easily and isn't waterproof — fine for a one-time indoor display. Transparent PVC decal lasts years on a fridge or window. The print-and-cut file works on either material.
What if my shop has never heard of CutContour?
Almost any shop with a Roland VersaSTUDIO, Mimaki CJV, or Graphtec cutter recognizes it natively — it's been the industry standard for over two decades. If your local shop uses a different RIP, ask them to look for the spot color named exactly CutContour in the Separations panel of their software.
Can QrdyCraft print and ship me the stickers directly?
Not yet. Direct print-and-ship is on our V2 roadmap. For now, the local-print-shop route lets us keep prices fair and avoid international shipping complications.

Plans & billing

What does Pro include?
Unlimited AI creations and photo uploads, no watermarks on any download, unlimited saved creations, priority generation, and early access to upcoming games (Low Poly, Stained Glass). See pricing for the full comparison.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, anytime. There's no commitment. You keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period — we don't cut off mid-month. After the period ends you drop to Free (watermarks come back, anything beyond the 5 most recent creations gets archived).
What happens to my creations if I downgrade?
Nothing is deleted. Creations beyond the 5 most recent are soft-archived — you can't see them in My Creations, but they're held safely in our database. Upgrade again any time and they're instantly restored.
How do refunds work?
Within 7 days of your first purchase, ask for a refund — no questions. Email support@qrdynamic.xyz with your order details. After 7 days we handle case-by-case.
Who processes the payment?
Lemon Squeezy, as Merchant of Record. They handle the card data, VAT, sales tax, and the customer billing portal. We never see or store your payment card — QrdyCraft only receives your subscription status and renewal date.
Can I use the mosaics commercially?
Not on Free or Pro — both are licensed for personal & family use only. A commercial license (sell printed mosaics, use in a paid workshop, etc.) will arrive as a separate Creator tier — drop us a line if this is what you need and we'll prioritize it.

Privacy & content safety

What happens to photos I upload?
We trace the outline, then discard the original photo. Only the shape outline (a tiny SVG path) plus the metadata needed to re-render your mosaic gets stored. Uploaded creations also never appear in the public gallery — even on Pro, even by accident — because the silhouette could resemble a real person. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.
Does my creation show up in the public gallery?
It depends on how you made it:
  • Keyword (AI) creations — yes. They are added to the public gallery automatically right after they save, so other families can browse and download them.
  • Photo-upload creations — no. Uploads stay private to your account, always. Tier doesn't change this.
How do you handle inappropriate keywords?
Every keyword runs through a safety filter before reaching the image model. Copyrighted IP (Disney, Pokémon, anime characters, real celebrities) gets silently rewritten to a generic equivalent. Sexually suggestive, violent, or hateful prompts get rewritten to safe alternatives. The filter doesn't block you — it just steers toward something family-appropriate.
Do you track my browsing or sell my data?
No third-party analytics, no marketing pixels, no ad networks. We use a single first-party cookie (craft_token) to keep you signed in. See Cookies for details.
Is the printed sticker material safe for kids?
That depends on what your print shop uses. The default we recommend (transparent PVC decal) is the same material used for laptop stickers and toy decals — safe for children to handle and stick. Avoid stickers under 5×5 mm for kids under 3 (small parts hazard).

Account & data

How do I sign out?
Click your avatar in the header → Sign out. That rotates your session token on the server, so any other device using the same login is also signed out.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@qrdynamic.xyz from the address on your account. We delete your user record, all your creation outlines, your usage counters, and unpublish any gallery items you posted. Allow up to 7 days for the deletion to propagate through backups.
Where is my data stored?
User accounts, creation outlines, and usage counters live on our managed MongoDB cluster (DigitalOcean, NYC3 region). We don't store the rendered PDFs or any uploaded photos — see Privacy Policy for the full data map.

Troubleshooting

The PDF download shows a ZIP — is that right?
Yes. Every download is a ZIP archive containing the two PDFs (preview + print-and-cut). Save the .zip file, unzip it, and open the PDFs inside.
My mosaic has too many tiny pieces — what happened?
Some silhouettes (faces, busy photos) tessellate into many small pieces. Try a simpler keyword (e.g. "dragon" instead of "dragon in a forest"), or drop difficulty from Hard to Medium. The renderer auto-protects pieces below ~25 mm² so they don't make it into the sticker sheet at all.
The keyword I typed got rewritten — why?
Our safety filter quietly rewrites prompts that match copyrighted IP, are sexually suggestive, violent, or hateful. If your prompt isn't in those categories and still got changed, email us — we treat over-blocking as a bug.
Generation failed — what now?
Hit retry. The AI image step has a fallback model, so a transient failure usually clears on the next attempt. If it keeps failing for one keyword, try slightly different wording (e.g. "an orange fox" instead of "fox"). Persistent failures: email support@qrdynamic.xyz.
